In the 2013 Buyer's Guide to New Zealand Wines, Michael Cooper elevates Puriri Hills Reserve to "Classic" and Puriri Hills Pope to "Potential Classic". These statuses are conveyed to the leading New Zealand wines which are in the forefront of quality over at least 3 vintages.
